Going to Quit Smoking

They say the bike is a real beast, run the 1/4 mile in a little over 12 seconds, tops out a shade over 100mph and is still a good trail bike.

Thanks again guys for the support,it really helps.

Dad quit, mom couldn't -we miss her
Both mine quit for awhile, but started again.

Dad's gone 7 years now, cancer of all kinds, smoking was a major contributor. Mom's stupid enough to keep smoking. I'll miss her when she's gone just like I do dad, but won't feel sorry for her either - because it was her choice, made knowing full well what would happen.

And yeah, I'm a heartless asshole. So what?

Where ya goin, budman? I wanted to come home this weekend, but I tore up my knee (been wearing a brace for almost a month) and don't think I could take 8 hrs on the road, even in the Vue.

late to the party, skipped a page and a half...

i've said it before i'll say it again, i totally don't understand addictions (mental addictions) as i am not, and never have been addicted to anything in the past, i truly believe that addiction is will power, which i have strong will power for anything that i want...

that being said, i understand that some people do have addictions that they find extremely hard to break, (such as you) and i am proud of you for the week you have gone so far without any cigarettes! keep up the good work, as i said above, it's all about willpower, keep up the hard work, and you will conquer this!

think about it this way, you have not been trying to quit for 1 week, you have already quit, and been a non smoker for 1 week. optimism my friend, will keep you ahead of this!

Keep going Chad.

Where did you go for supper thast night?

FYI: knee surgery IS in my future. Once it's done and I'm healing, I'm taking a trip home.

This is why I'm trying very hard to put off what will probably be inevitable knee surgery as long as I can.

I own 3 RBV sized vehicles with no plans to get anything else anytime soon. I'm hoping that if I am obstinate I can put it off for another 10 or 20 years.

that's what i'm doing. i'm waiting until there's a pill you take and everything is just fixed. or maybe something with lasers? lol

Over a week now and no smokey!!!!!!

are you braggin or crying???

:thefinger:.....quitters:dunno:....

is it really hard to quit smoking?

i remember when i quit....2.75 a pack was unreasonable to me....but i quit the day zoie was born. she was the 4th piglet....so it was an easy decision.

what is hard to quit, is wheeling....but also mandated by the arrival of the fifth child... the surprise baby.... he is a handful.

i am real glad i quit smoking years ago now...i cant keep up with the lil shithead. not to mention he is a serious wallet biter

I'm actually hoping to wait until this new carbon-fiber tech is out. They are trying to make carbon fiber replacement joints, supposed to not have the rejection issues seen in current units.

Now does that mean that he is an expensive child, or that he literally attempts to eat your money storage unit? :icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

back on topic here. but congradulations on your quitting, i havent had a mental addiction so i dont know what your going thru but i have had family members quit after smoking 30+ years and there happier than ever. and again congratz man and keep it going.

i quit smoking the other day...i set my jeans to smouldering while welding, once i realised what was happenning i slapped it out.

bada bing,no more smoking:icon_thumby:

but seriously,my ex quit, and never touched it again.this is significant because she never applied herself to anything.i figure if she could do it,it's gotta be doable.
good luck to ya,brother:icon_cheers:
