I need some suggestions on upgrades i should get for my truck. Its a 1995 4-banger manual trans with absolutely no aftermarket parts. i was thinking:

-31" tires
-locking diff
-air intake
-4 or 5" suspension lift
-gearing

But if anyone has suggestions on parts that have been good for them please let me know.

31 inch Mudders, Gearing and a 4 inch lift is where I would start, you truck already has an 'air intake', a free flowing filter may help a titch, but for more power, gearing is the best option

Don't mess with your air intake. 4.10's or 4.56's will work well with 31's. 4.10's were available stock with some rangers.

what kind brand of tires should i get...its a daily driver too but i want tires that can handle the mud. i dnt know if i mentioned that its a 2wd.

2wd will go almost anywhere, but from what I've seen of mudding videos I don't think I'd try it...not that it wouldn't be fun being yanked out of mudholes or anything, but I'd want to be as prepared to do it alone as much as possible...and 4wd would be a prerequisite for my wimpy butt...

But jacking up the truck and putting bigger tires on it is what I'd planned to do also...not for mudding, just for higher ride...as long as you're having fun I don't think it really matters too much!

anything '89 or newer and 4x4 31's will fit, I'm running 31's on a stock '90 4x4, with a 2.3 and 4.10 gears, it does pretty good but I haven't ran it in mud yet...

i had 31's on 15" jeep 5star wheels on my 94 2wd 2.3...all stock, they fit fine... no rubbing or any issues, and i ran them for... probably 60-70k while doing pizza delivery in 1yr

i am looking for a good suspension lift to buy for the ranger and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on whats good. i have a good bit of money saved for this purpose so let me know! i found a 4" rough country lift for $430. any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

33" swamper TSLs. Lincoln locker. 3" body lift. 4.56 or 4.88 gears. 6000# winch or come along. Some straps and shackles and a hi-lift. You should be golden. Also remove sway bars and put on a good set of shocks. Around $2k if you do it yourself. will go dahm near anywhere.

i have 31" mudders on my 94 no lift and no locker. I have not gotten stuck yet and i have put my truck through hell. I have 4.10 gears. In the mud i run in low range. In high second gear has no power.

his is 2wd, he doesnt have the luxury of 2low.

i would run a 4" suspension lift 31" good year mtrs, 4.56's and a detroit and ull be good togo, some may think the 4.56's are a bit overkill for 31's, but its 2wd so u want a bit more umph outta ur gears
