Well the wife and I just purchased a travel trailer as we really like camping but were getting tired of tenting it. The tent is fine when out exploring with the big ranger in the mountains but not just going out for fun with my parents and our friends. We bought a 2004 Holidaire Lite 24 foot travel trailer. It weighs in at 4080lbs dry and the Sport Trac is rated for 5200 lbs so it should be manageable for getting it to the camping spots around here. We're taking it out this weekend to the local lake so we'll see how the Trac does towing it. I just got finished wiring the brake controller and charge line into the truck. Ended up going with a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller as all the reviews I read made it out to be top notch. With the weight distributing hitch it only squats the sport trac 3/4" which it pretty good, I was almost figuring I was going to need air bags, but now I'm not thinking so.

Nice trailer! popout too! =D
Mind if I steal? haha

have fun dude! cook a marshmellow for me!

Its got a full queen size bed at the front, big bathroom along the back wall and kitchen/table and couch in the middle.

Your WD hitch is the reason your not dragging A$$. The bars leverage the hitch so that the weight is transferred to both axles on the trailer and the truck. Did you get a sway control system as well? If not you may want to see what is available for your WD. It sounds like the cam systems are the best vs friction systems. Enjoy the new trailer and safe towing.

No sway control on it, not sure if i need it or not yet. I'm not pulling this thing across the country or anything.

nice!!
post back how it does towing.
my parents just bought a 24 or 26' travel trailer and i was wondering how my 4L ranger would tow it on short trips.

yeah, i tow my camper with my Ranger to the lake all the time...and it is 4400#'s....
