The difference isn't much. A few seconds with a carbide bit would fix that. If I'm remembering correctly, the TBI (CFI) used the same opening size as the VV carb.the CFI uses a different size air cleaner opening so it would blow the whole point of running TBI.![]()
Ford went away from the CFI layout because of fuel distribution issues, and because SEFI was well into R&D by that time.
-I'm thinking about the CFI unit for my BII, because I think it wouldn't be too much effort to set one up with a carb backup in the case of EFI failure.
