GM TBI on a Ford 302

the CFI uses a different size air cleaner opening so it would blow the whole point of running TBI. :(
The difference isn't much. A few seconds with a carbide bit would fix that. If I'm remembering correctly, the TBI (CFI) used the same opening size as the VV carb.

Ford went away from the CFI layout because of fuel distribution issues, and because SEFI was well into R&D by that time.

-I'm thinking about the CFI unit for my BII, because I think it wouldn't be too much effort to set one up with a carb backup in the case of EFI failure.

I thought it was smaller like a 2bb but then I think I was wrong and it was actually bigger... so I am not really for sure which way it is. :dntknw:

I have an Explorer GT-40 intake sitting in the barn, I am probably an idiot for not just using it... but it took me a whole stinking winter to build my air filter and I don't want to just dump it after a year.

Keep us posted on your CFI project at any rate!
