So I have a 1986 Ranger and my glovebox latch is really picky about when it wants to close, you have to slam it a few times to get it to click closed, is there any quick fix for this or where can I snag a new latch? It's not really hurting anything but it's pretty annoying anyway haha

just go to a junkyard and get a latch out of a 1st gen ranger or bronco. there pretty easy to swap a Phillips screwdriver is the only thing needed.

Mine used to work great, then I took the glovebox out to repaint it and I have had to slam it multiple times to get it to latch. It is very annoying but I only have to mess with it twice a year when I get a new insurance card or registration paper so I haven't got around to messing with it. I think it is an alignment issue of some sort.

To add insult to injury it turned out that I don't like how I painted it...
