My name is Theresa [Terry] Mauro, from Culver City, CA.
I have a 1994 Ford XLT Ranger, standard cab, standard shift. I'm the one who asked the "stupid" question about the difference between an XL and an XLT Ranger.
) I wanted to thank you all for the clarification.
I have 130,000 miles on my engine, and it keeps on going. I also purchased an insurance policy on the engine, a year ago, should it give out on me, but I'm also very conscientious about oil changes, and keeping my transmission in top driving condition.
I have an excellent mechanic I've been taking it to for the last five years, and I'm planning on putting headers and new intake pipe on it this September. I had a Flowmaster installed on it almost three years ago.
I was very happy to find this site, as I simply typed in my question about the difference between an XL and an XLT Ranger, and google directed me to this site.
As soon as I can get a picture of my truck together, I'll upload it to this site. Could I use it as my icon? I just had the body restored and painted the original color by the body shop next door to my mechanic's. It's that burgundy color that looks almost black. I had some fender flares I bought "after market" installed, a little over two years ago, as well.
I'm looking forward to learning all I can about my truck as I plan on keeping it for a long time. I've kept my former vehicles for more than 13 years in the past. I purchased my current truck from a friend in 2002.
Thank you for the opportunity to join your Ranger site.
Respectfully yours,
Terry Mauro
