you can drive it around texas. i have seen a few south american rangers here in corpus christi. i have also seen one or two in houston and a number of them in san antonio.

i would like to get one of those crewcab early 2k rangers from south america. i think those are cool

Unfortunately, i don't think i can register my 2015 Ford Ranger in Texas, where I live. But I love my truck with the T5 Diesel 3.2L, 6 speed transmission. Its a workhorse in the mountains of Central America. I put a Dobson suspension and coil system on it. BF Goodrich KO2 tires 285/70/17. I will put a tuner also.

yeah, i don't think you could register it, you are right.

but, if you keep up on the registration in your home country, i think you could easily drive it here with no troubles. just keep everything up to date and you won't have trouble.


i know they want you to register the vehicle here in texas within 30 days but i drove on my georgia plates for two years when i came back from the army and only ahd to change them because they were expired and my karmann ghia was custom painted and loud so it always attracted the cops

Thanks for the info. I actually live in Texas, but I also have a house in El Salvador where my wife is from. It was More convenient for me to buy a vehicle then rent one each time. Every time I return to El Salvador, I upgrade the Ranger with something. I already bought a tuner from Australia. That will be installed the next time, with upgraded side mirrors F250 style. For now I will keep it in El Salvador. My wife’s refuses me to drive through Mexico for safety reasons. Labor is so much cheaper in El Salvador, I will keep upgrading it without any restrictions.
