After a recent battle to find out exactly what i have and the lengths i had to go to to get it, here is a process to get a copy of your trucks build sheet from FORD.
First, go to .
Second, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on contact ford.
Third, on the contact ford page, there will be a section on the middle of the screen that says, "Email Us About Vehicles and Service". Click the ford botton under that title. This will bring you to a new page.
Fourth, this is the email form that needs to be filled out. For the e-mail topic, select "other" from the drop down menu on the screen.
Fifth, in the Write you E-mail box, fill out a request to obtain a copy of your build sheet. Explain that the one that should be in the truck is not there or unreadable.
Sixth, after the request is filled out, fill in the rest of the required information on the page, Have you Vin number, and mileage ready to enter.
Seventh, wait for the return email(you will get quite a few). The return emails will be from FORD to say they got your request, another to say it went to archives(if necessary), another to say archives got it and it will be sent in a few weeks(they might ask for additional information about current address and the such)

And finally, be patient and it'll be along. I hope this will help any of you all in your quest to find out what your truck was originally equipped with from the factory. Good Luck..Mark

When I did it step 6 never showed up. So I guess I will wait for them to contact me on my vin # and other info.

Yup, and they will want to know who the current registered owner is too.

If you select "Other" from the drop down box, it doesn't ask you about the vehicle.

So I got an email from FORD and they said they want to help they just need the vin#, address, mileage, and servicing dealership. Since I do all the service on my truck I just said none for the dealership thing. Looking forward to getting it soon.

I got an email like within an hour after submitting it saying they received my request, and then 2 days later i got another email that said we need more info.

So I just resubmitted it on the website with all of the info they asked.
