Read the write up in the tech library. Makes it sound easy, more or less. I'm swapping a 88 cab onto my 90 Ranger, the 90 cab is rotting in the A pillars and I couldn't find a 89-92 cab for what I was willing to pay. So I'm paying big in sweat and blood!:icon_bounceblue:

I haven't test fit the dash yet, but the article says the dash should bolt in after swapping the steering column support. THe clips at the base of the windshield are different, but will they line up?

Anyone else done this before?

I was trying to figure a set of brackets out. Thanks! I'll post with my fix when I get that far!

only two of the screws line up for the top of the dash...and you need to fab some brackets to fasten the bottom of the dash to the kick panel areas.

Actually it's the other way around.

The four tops need to be made and the bottom 2 fit with one needing a bit of reworking.

But I've done the swap without any welding, we made it work lol. For the bottom, the inner pillar wasn't even the same shape, not to mention the dash mounts to the e-brake pedal on the drivers side. He had to do a bunch of hacking around the steering column too. I'd say it was probably the quickest install of a 2nd gen dash you will see. It was secure "enough" heh. BUT yes the right way to do it would moving the tabs around so all 4 will work.
