gears 7.5 3.73 or 8.8 3.45

i have a 7.5 with 3.73 gears in my truck rite now and i got an 8.8 with 3.45 sitten in the shed my question is what axle would be better to run with my 302 and a set of 33's thanks

the gears in the 8.8 won't be nice, but that seven and a half won't last long with a 302.

33's and 3.73's is an ok combo, but i'd go with at least a 4.10 gear set if you are wanting to do anything more than mild wheeling

Don't think the 8.8 came with a 3.45, I'd go with a 4.10 with them tires, especially with the V-8 power.

Ditto, 3.45's are 7.5 gears. The 8.8's got 3.55 ratio gears (and 3.73 too)

I think that you had them backwards.
