My wife's 2003 Exploder had a nasty growl/grind in the drivetrain somewhere. Would only show up after warmed up and slowing down (like an exit ramp). I replaced RF hub (little play), Both diff fluids (correct weights), but after I changed the transfer case ATF, the noise is similar to a whine a gear-drive or supercharger makes. It will do it costing to a stop.
I put Valvoline Mercon V as per the manual, but is there something else I can add? It is the stupid Auto 4x4 so I do not know if this has something to do with it or not.
I get a little concerned as this is my wife's ride and the family car. We make frequent trips to Chicagoland (250 miles).

You're going to have to get the wheels off the ground and use a stethoscope to try and pinpoint it. That may be your best chance.

im interested in this also...my GF's grand cherokee is doing this also. same symptoms.
