Gear Grinding Need opinions

Ok guys got a question. It's going to sound crazy but really happened. In order to keep this short I'll just get straight to the point.

So what if I take my manual truck, fire it up, and proceed to just constantly push the shifter into gear without the clutch. Aside from the horrible grinding what would happen inside the tranny. Teeth sheer? Stuff melts? By now I know you are all wondering why I ask. Well this D A I know keeps doing this to his truck thinking that somehow this will fix his clutch problem. Yea he's a moron. But what will eventually happen?

Well guess the answer has been found. Truck landed in the shop with gears melted together. Mechanic said that it must have ran out of fluid at some point. But he didn't know the half of it.

Rebuild time along with a new clutch.... ouch!!
