Hey guys,

I bought my 86 ranger with a 5.0 pretty much completely installed. I tweaked here and there to get it to run. I need to get this truck to pass inspection so I really need gauges. I have a speed and an aftermarket tack in it that works fine. Also electric oil, temp and volt gauges. I dont like the looks of it though, So I was wondering what I would do to make it back to stock. Can I some how hook up the wires for the stock cluster or should I just put custom gauges in the cluster spot?

You don't need to splice anything, just hook up the stock stuff.
Oil/Temp/Volt/Speedometer hook up like stock. Search TRS and RPS for tips on making the stock tach work, it can be done.

Depends on what kind of job the installer did... :icon_surprised: Might not have the wiring there beyond the dash plugs if new wires were ran for the aftermarket gauges. EVTM would be a huge help on this IMO. All just depends on how the PO did it, so there really isn't a simple answer. :dunno:

I just used the stock sending units for all of my gauges on my 84. Like has been said, if the wires are all still in place should be an easy fix.
