gauges fluctuating

My friend has a 94' Ranger with the 4.0 v6 5 speed manual. He recently put a new starter on since his old one went out and the truck wouldnt crank. Now eversince the new starter is on it cured the cranking problem. The thing is that his Temp, oil pressure, and batt volt gauges will fluctuate when the truck is running. The gauges will randomly max out really fast then go all the way down left and right. It happens at idle and while driving it. The gauges never have done this before.

Ideas here? Thanks a ton!!

I would say maybe a bad ground somewhere and i just so happened to be all them at once, but im not sure.

Where is the oil pressure ground???

i have the same problem in my 2002 edge dose any one no where the oil pressure ground is????
