im sick of the retarded gauges in my 89, so im installing mechanical ones. what is the normal temp, oil psi and voltage? i just want to make shure everything is good when i put em in. the stock ones dont help:flipoff:

the guages aren't "Retarded".

though they don't specifically tell you that the engine is 190degrees
Cold, warm, hot is really all the resolution you need,

Volts? Too little, too much or Just right is all you really need.
(You can temprarily hook up a DVM and get a feel for what the
factory guage is telling you)

The oil pressure "guage" that IS retarded.
On your truck the "sender" is actually a switch with a built-in resistor
that makes the guage to read about half scale so it SIMULATES being
a guage.
