I have an 07 XLT Ranger and I am looking to change the lighting of the gauges from the factory green..anyone tried this? Possible?

easiest way is to switch the bulbs for LEDs. should be 194s

Does the 07 gauge cluster have green and red lighting like my 04? If so, you will really need to take the gauges out and sand off the colored film. Also, for some reason I want to say that the newer trucks dont use a 194 bulb, but Im not sure. should be easy enough to look up however

i know i may sound kinda crazy, but most dash lights are green or red for a reason. those colors have the least effect on your night vision. the new bright led's in blue, purple, pink, whatever, do impact your ability to see outside the vehicle when driving at night.
i see too many drivers who like that 'cool/hot' look compensate by switching their headlights to the 'cool/hot' hid's so they can see better because of their super bright dash lights. now not only is their night vision diminished, they are also blinding everyone in the opposite lanes as they didn't take the time to re-aim their new headlights.

guess you've figured out i'm not a big fan of "brighter is better" line of thought.
ok, i'm done with my rant.
