I have a 1994 Ford Ranger with a 2.3l 5 speed. I ger TERRIBLE gas mileage on it. It has 230000 miles on it. I use Amsoil 0w-30 and perform all the scheduled maintiance. Does anyone have sugestions on how or what I can do to get better gas mileage. The only thing I havent done is change the pcv vaulve, which I will do this week.

get a new air filter, get an alignment, check your tire air pressure, drive like an old man and btw rangers ar notorious for having lower gas mileage than they should.

OP, what is TERRIBLE mileage? I dont think it's going to end up being an air filter, alignment or tire pressure if it's real bad.

Thank you

Thanks for the advise. I knew about the tire pressure, I'm gonna get an alignment next week. The filter is changed every 5000 miles.
