Gas Gauge

My gas gauge only works on humid days.

Are there cluster motors behind the dash or is it the sending unit in the tank?

Is it something a nonmechancial person like myself can do?

I have 1996 2.3L 4 cyclinder, 5 speed, red xlt stepside.

May be a bad ground at the tank. A humid day may be just moist to bridge the gap for the gound wire.
