1991 Ford Explorer, 4x4 Automatic. Gas Gage don't work, not fuse. Does this model have a comon problem here or do just need to do standard crap?

sounds like ur float is screwy but almost every ford ive owned had a gas gage problemo

I just keep an eye on my trip odometer, I know my truck can go 360 miles approximately on a tank of gas. Too much hassle to mess with a gauge that may or may not work once fixed.

I had to pull the tank down because the connector to the sender was heavily coroded. Not a easy job.
