Gas Filter Replacement

If your filler neck cracked its a good idea to replace the gas filter. Its tricky, there was a spring barb inside the hose to pry out. Here is what a motorcraft gas filter looks like after 200,000 miles. it absorbed a lot of contaminents. I replaced it with a Fram unit that included some hair pin clips and copper gaskets for less than $9.00 at Walmart. this may help my tc p1131 lean o2 sensor reading.

So i recently had to replace my filler neck...... ford wanted $500 for a 2ft piece of rubber.... i ended up paying $195 from car quest, anybody know y so expensive?

I bought my filler neck on eBay for under $40 dollars.

I have yet to install it but it feels solid and the seller has high ratings and his feedback shows many customers who were happy with the filler necks they bought for their Rangers.

Nice, I have yet to install mine & I need to buy two O2 sensors because I am replacing my rusted out muffler with a Flowmaster 50 when the box is off for the filler neck replacement.

Going to kill 3 birds with one stone.
