So when I moved my gas filler door inside the truck bed I had to do a little modification to the filler tube which meant the filler hose was now to short. I purchased a length of clear 1 1/4" clear filler hose but when I went to install it the hose would kink due to the sharp bends. This was my answer.
I had some 1/8" steel wire in the shop and cut it into 4' lengths for ease of handling. I used a 3/4" piece of pipe and wrapped the steel wire around it as shown in the pictures and inserted the "spring" into the hose, I used 2 of these in my application and it works great. Hope this might help some one else.
