My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
Thursday on my way home from work my radiator split. Ran all its coolant out in 5 minutes, and I mean to the point the temp gauge dropped to zero and no heat from the heater. I limped into a dollar general about 7 miles from home. They had premix coolant so I bought a jug. It was running out of my radiator faster than I could pour it in. Went back inside to see if they had stop leak, the didn’t. I bought a dozen eggs and a small can of Cayenne pepper. Cracked 4 eggs and the cayenne pepper into the coolant jug, shook it and poured it into the radiator. Got it sealed up enough to hold coolant. Drove it 7 miles home, next morning I took a chance because it was raining and I didn’t want to take my motorcycle to work at 4 am in the rain…. Drove the jeep. Held coolant for the 45 miles drive to work, held coolant for the drive home… then yesterday 20 miles to church and 20 miles home. It worked…. I gave it a 50-50 chance of just making it home. Going outside to flush the cooling system and replace my radiator and everything connected to the radiator including the water pump…. But not the electric fan because that still works.

4 raw eggs and 2oz of cayenne pepper will seal up a 4 gallon capacity cooling system.

Homestly man I didn’t expect it work. But I had to try it before I called my uncle and waited 2 or 3 hours for him to show up with the car trailer.

I knew the Eggs part and/or coarse ground black pepper.

Never heard the cayenne pepper part.

I used tire patches, seal all, and ductape to fix a rear heater line on an town and country once when it was spewing antifreeze all over the tsc parking lot.

Lasted 6months and was still holding when the line got replaced lol.

Sometimes ya gotta try it.
