just put in a new slave cylinder for the second time in a year its been 2 months and now its acting up. clutch will get sloppy and not come all the way up keep driving and pump it a bit and then will work fine again this is happening about every 2 days on top of that i dont seem to be loosing any fluid ?
im thinking maybe master cylinder ?
is there way to test the master opposed to the slave ?

ANY INPUT ?

Well, if it's a new slave, and you're not losing fluid, chances are pretty good it's the Master...not sure on how to test it tho..

yep was the master :yahoo:

is there a trick to get the pushrod out of the slave i had to smash the old one to get it out ?

There is a trick. There is a thin sheetmetal retainer with two fingers which snaps around the tapered section at the end of the push rod and also into a groove in the clutch master cylinder pad. You can push the two fingers back with very thin screw drivers like those used for fine electronics and wiggle and yank on the rod till it comes out. It takes a little time, but it will come out.
