While driving today I heard a single beep. About 2 or so minutes later it happened again. Then another short time later again. Thought it was something coming in over the air on the radio. So I turned it off. About 5 minutes later, another beep.

All gauges look normal and no CEL. What the heck could it be?

Is it the same beep that it makes when a door gets opened? Could have a DAS going bad.

Cell phone beeping in your pocket because the battery was going dead?

I've had door alarms come and go intermittent lately and sometimes while driving get the beep and if I look fast enough catch the door light.

It also could be the alarm associated with the "check gauge" alert on the dash. Since the oil pressure (and in some case battery) gauges act more like idiot lights and are wired to indicate in the center when good, if there is an intermittent dropout in the signal the alert may start but then clear quickly and nothing would look abnormal with the gauge indications. Certainly not the way you would expect if oil pressure were hovering low. Might catch something if you look in the right place fast enough. If it is something like this, as the issue gets worse it should become obvious at some point.

If you mean a ticking sound going through the speakers (radio on or off, doesn't matter) then it could be a corroded/exposed/waterlogged radio frequency blocker on your crank sensor.

More detailed description would be helpful.
