I got a fullwidth Dana 44 from a 79 F250. I am planning on throwing it under my 93 Explorer. If I leave it fullwidth, I am wondering if I could find some inner duelly rims, and throw them on the front to bring the tires in a bit. Not familiar with duelly stuff so not sure if it will work. I know I am going to have to extend my fender flares out, or build custom ones. Just want to be able to make it pass an inspection out here, and hopefully not get pulled over/hassled to much. After that I would like to throw a Dana 60 in the rear, so same story in the rear I guess.
Narrowing the front axle wouldn't be too much difficulty, but then ordering/finding custom shafts, and the inconvience of getting them is kind of a turn off. Narrowing the rear end, rather not even go there. Prefer to leave both axles stock if I can.
Any suggestions from those who have done this before ?
