Full Width SAS on '90 Danger the 4th

Well, I now own a running and driving 1984 Continental with a clear title. I have no idea what color it is. But it has a fuel injected 302 in it.

Uh oh! You're gonna love the 5.0! I suggest a 1-1/2" body lift. It's a lot easier to get to trany bolts and fit the motor in the truck. I don't recommend using the V6 motor mounts they're too weak. Build your own, get the conversion mounts or go with the mustang mounts. They won't sag or tear.

I am looking forward to a V8. Even if this one has half of the HP that today's V6 Mustangs have.
Unfortunately, my new rig is a YJ. I will still be making custom mounts. My Ranger has moved on to the scrap yard.

What did you trade for it?
I traded (10) ~20' long sticks of 4" channel for it. I got about 30 of them for free a few years ago. I will have 10 sticks left after this.

This 302 is a TBI engine. Not the coolest 302 out there but its not carb. After talking to an engine guy, I can definitely work with it. I am not an engine guy by any means, so I have a lot to learn. That is why I drive a Honda as a DD and my diesel is a 7.3. Reliable and dependable engines so I dont have to worry about them :D

Where did you price your gears at for the 60/14? Ive bought them from Summit before and they were reasonable.

The 60 I just guessed. I would assume I could actually find those used for under $100.

The 14bolt ones are turned gears so they fit with the shave kit. I would probably just buy regular ones and turn them my self but yeah. I was pricing ut worst case scenarios.

As for that 203/205 doubler, a buddy does have one setup for a Ford. But they are sooo heavy. I am going to try and rock 1 1356 for now and see how it goes.
Income is much better with this new job I picked up. Maybe I could find a used Atlas down the line.

Things are happening.

Took a $300 down payment on my 84 Lincoln last night. He is bringing the rest next week. I got more than scrap, thats all that matters.

Then the guy I got this YJ thing from is buying it back when he gets back from his current job assignment next month.

So I should be back in a RBV soon. I have a buddy scanning the auctions. I want a 5.0 Ex with a bad trans/rear end. I am looking to spend $300-500.
