Full Width SAS on '90 Danger the 4th

A little birdy told me that Yukon's releasing their Dana 44 chromoly lockouts in a couple months.

I see Summit Racing carries Yukon lockouts for D60s. $$$$$ lol

Well, still havnt got to the Ranger yet. I did find my OEM Ford lockout. So I am good there. I just need to pickup a new ujoint for the passenger shaft. This weekend will be pretty busy so I am going to try and see if I can get Wednesday or Thursday off. If I take tomorrow or Tuesday, I lose my holiday pay.

Here are the other projects I have been working on. An old friend of mine wanted to build his 180k miles Mustang for autocross. That is getting big out here. He is actually the little neighbor kid that grew up down the street from me. Now he is a chemical engineer lol. Anyways, I rented half of my garage out to him for 3 months which turned into 5. It left today. :)
He started with a basic 3.8L V6 5-speed Mustang. He built the new engine from the ground up and bought a sweet T5 trans. He also ditched the rear 8.8 (we put it in a few years ago) for a IRS 8.8. He started with an SC Thunderbird block and built to handle some ponies. 450-500 crank HP I guess. The pictures will tell the rest. Its pretty cool. Its different.

We then decided to remodel the lower level of my house even though I know nothing about construction. It was a drop ceiling with paneling walls and stick on tile floors. It thought it would be easy until I pulled the paneling down. With tons of help from friends, I ended up framing the whole area, re-wiring everything, moved all the hot water heat pipes through the joists and dry walled everything. Yeah, the original budget is gone. The plan is to get it done by the 4th of July.

if you can handle SAS a truck, you can do framing/drywall.....nothing to it. lookin good dude!

Thanks!
So far it is going ok. Glad my friends have been around to show me the tips and tricks. I will fix their trucks next time they break them lol

Ran a 3500 lb load of scrap yesterday. What surprised me is that the weight of my dually and trailer is 8700. The weight of my old 2003 F250 was 8850 by itself. And that was before the flatty. To put that in comparison, my reg cab 2002 duramax weighed 6400 lbs EMPTY. No wonder i couldnt keep it together. Every time I hit a curb that IFS needed attention...

Our 2wd Reg PSD rolls the scale right 8.9k empty.lol

The Crew cab IDI is just a hair over 8k with a flatty and a hoist under it...

I must have a skinny truck lol. I was quite surprised. All of my other trucks were weighed on this same scale too

My crewcab idi is about 7800lbs last time i was at the scrap yard with one full tank and one empty with me in it i was 14'000 going in and just over 8400 leaving.

Finally got the truck back together.

My wife ran a half marathon last Saturday. So Friday night she went to bed early. So out the truck garage I went. It was in the mid-30s, so I fired up the wood burner. I don't think I have ever done that near the end of May haha. Got the shop up to 65 pretty quick and got to working.

Got the new shafts together. Big thanks to Brinker88 and Plumcrazy for getting me all the inner and outers I needed. All four pieces are new to my truck.

I recently bought 2 bearings for a project at work. They were $60k each lol. So my bearing vendor hooked me up with a complete set of bearings and seals for the D44. I replaced every bearing and seal except for the pinion bearings.

Got my diff cleaned out.

The axle seals they got me were incorrect. So I had to go out and get the correct ones.

Got the diff back in.

New races.

Ready for the tires!

Then I drove around the property a bit. Feels like a new truck. I think it may finally be ready for a test drive on the road.

I need to mow this soon LOL

My Johnny joints are starting to get broken in. I am happy with how its working now. Some poser shots

Then I cleaned my garage out today. I still need to clean out the radiator one more time and put my fan shroud back on. For now, she is tucked back in the garage and ready for some wheelin' this saturday!

This is the spare lockout I have. I put it in for now. It might be Ford. Might not be lol.
My MMs are under warranty, so I will get those replaced after this trip.

Just walked into the garage. All my coolant is on the ground. Great timing Ranger... Great timing...

Pictures aint workin brotha!

My dodge only weighs in at 6700 with me in it and a full tank of fuel

I know. I moved them all this morning because I uploaded them into the wrong folder. Then my boss came up behind me. So I am laying low until lunch lol
