Anyone have any info/ $.02/ knowledge about attaching coilovers to full width dana 60 with the pumpkin closer to the drivers knuckle? The ideas i have for link brackets and a upper link brace Im not really happy with. Any feedback would help.

I have a 60 from an 87 f350... the one with hardly any axle tube. I built a bracket on the center section/leaf spring pad and have been running it since 2003. I managed to crack some of the welds earlier this year and had to repair it (first pic) If you build something like this, you need to use nickel rod to join the mild steel to the center section. The ni-rod welds horrible, looks horrible, but it works! :icon_welder: Then you can lay more visually appealing welds on top with a better looking rod like 7018 or with a mig.

I have found that if you heat the shit out of it before welding, it is not as apt to crack.
