Ok, so I'm building my bronco 2 right now and Im looking at the same problem with the frame clearance. You guys are saying that the 1356 will fit without too extensive cutting?
I have the tranny pretty much centered and it just dont look like its gonna go. I was going to notch a hole in the frame and build a box to reinforce it so it dont get weak while wheeling.
What do you guys think?

Why notch the frame? Pull the lines, wires out of the way and heat it up with a torch then bend the frame enough to clear the T-case. I know heating the frame isn't great for it but neither is notching it.

That is how I did mine.
