Full Size Dana 44 Swap question

I have read in the tech library on how to swap the dana 44 solid axle. The only problem I've seen with all the info available is all the swaps are the early bronco swap. Which is a piece
of cake. I've got an axle set from a full size 79 f-150. The problem I'm going to run in to is the radius arm mounts on the axle. It's the kind where it's pressed
into the axle tubes, not welded. I was wondering if you can leave them alone
and just put in a coil bucket that extends farther out from the frame to accommodate for the wider axle width. I just want to know what other guys who have swapped full size axles have done.

thanks
