Anyone know what differences there are between an 8.8 from and explorer and an 8.8 from a full size bronco? Besides the width...

All explorer axles are 31 spline, and they have the spring perches on the bottom side.
95+ have disk brakes.

Thanks.

Anyone know anything about the Bronco 8.8?

both 31 spline. the sploder is more narrow than the bronco/f150

no the spring perches are further out. all you need to do is weld on some new ones

Oh, another ? If I get the dana44 kit from copycat, will it make my front end full width?

Depends on what year it came out of 78-79 are full size. Early broncos are about the same as a B2.

Copycats kit puts a f150 dana44 ttb in the ranger, and yes, it is full width

This is the route I was going to go at first but found a sweet deal on a HP44 from a 79Bronco.

The wider axle will necessitate really cutting the fender to clear upward suspension travel and turns while the tire is stuffed into the well. A buddy of mine just put a D44 into his 90 and went with a 3" body lift and 6 or 8 inch lift kit and it still looks like he'll have to trim the fenders. Fiberglass ones are the only way to keep a full fender after going wider, they are flared out a bit to clear bigger tires/suspensions.
