i heard there is a possibility the ranger will evolve into a fullbody(its called something like that):dunno: "truck". does anyone here think its likely. I have 113000 miles on my 1999 and plan on running it to 200000 if possible. i'd like to buy my next truck new but can never ever foresee me buying an suv with a sawed off top. How likely do y'all think that is? will toyota be the way to go??

toyota is NOT the way to go. i havent heard anything like that.

Meh... Toyota builds excellent trucks. No question, they had some frame rot issues a few years ago, but they've since resolved them and they handled the existing situation pretty well. I don't own one because of cost, but my wife's daily driver is a Lexus ES300 that has been a fantastic car to own.

I think if Ford is to finally "Axe" the Ranger, they need to make it a mid size or a full sized truck, after all the Ranger started as a overglorified F-150, that may be how it ends.:icon_thumby:

I wont do a fullbody or full size. toyota is the best in reliability hands down but when something does go wrong its very expensive. Ford is the most reliable american in my experience and my ranger is much more reliable than my honda was. I guess where im going with this is the ranger is the only ford i will ever buy because i prefer a midsize truck. I'm in the construction field so i need a truck but need descent gas mioage:annoyed:
