Brake fluids do not contain acetone. They contain various types of glycol ethers and racing brake fluid can also contain ether esters. Acetone would boil at the lightest braking from the heat. Having a highly flammable solvent in the brake system would not be a very good idea. The flash point of acetone is 15 degrees F.It would dry out the rubber. It is also is the primary chemical in brake fluid and brake CLEANER. It destroys lubricity. That means it will remove the lubing properties of the fuel and screw up pumps and injectors.
Using a little acetone in gasoline will not harm anything. 2 oz. per 10 gallons is only 0.15% acetone. That is not enough concentration to damage the fuel system. It should help to clean the fuel system. I have used occasionally it in my 02 Ranger for about the past 6 yrs to clean the fuel system. With around 115,000 miles on it, it runs as good as it did new. The only thing I have replaced in the fuel system is the fuel pump other than standard fuel filter replacement. Replacement of the fuel pump at around 100K miles is not uncommon. Actually, the fuel pump still worked but the anti-back flow valve in it was allowing the pressure to bleed off when shut off.
