Hey everyone. I have a '93 that apparently decided to puke it's fuel up.

I filled up at the gas station, drove a half mile home, and parked it. I came out maybe 2 or 3 hours later and saw a fuel "stain" under the filler door. I checked the cap and it was tight, but when I opened it, it began to leak fuel, (steady flow)... I tightened the cap back, and haven't had the issue since.

Any ideas?

One of two things has happened.

1) The pump malfunctioned and overfilled your tank.

2) Your vent tube is blocked.

I find the vent tube more likely. Spiders like to build little webs in them and lay egg sacks there because it is an out of the way spot and the fuel vapors aren't as toxic to them as they are to most insects.

Check the fresh air tube (take it off and blow through it) then make sure the line to the carbon canister isn't kinked or something.

Thanks! Now... where is the tube? lol
