Not a clue as to the "proper" place to post this.....
but anyways....

Some rangers i have seen out there have dual fuel tanks....
i assume they mounted the rear tank behind the rear axle, between the frame rails....
so, where did they mount the spare tire?

Most likely a spare carrier in the bed of the truck....the BII's had a carrier on the back or in side rear corner

The factory Dual Tank rangers had a spare tire carrier in the bed.

It mounted the tire against the drivers side of the bed
forward of the left side tire tub.

the only drawback to it was that tires larger than 215/75-15's wouldn't
fit in the tire carrier in the short bed (including supercabs) trucks.

I have my spare (a 235/75-15) mounted against the
driverside bedside BEHIND the tire tub, because the space
forward of the wheeltubs is completely occupied by
my... ahem... toolbox? yeah that's the word I wanna use:)

(it's actually the back and top of an aluminum Diamond
plate toolbox that's been cut away to conceal a 40gallon fuel tank)
