Hello again, new problem

My truck is really acting up. At startup, the truck idles fine. Then, after a minute or two, it starts acting erratic. This happens once you start giving it some gas. It will let me rev it up to about 2000RPM, sometimes as high as 3500RPM, but then it stops going any higher no matter how much gas your giving it. Once you let go of the gas, it drops below 400RPM, stumbles, sometimes recovers itself and other times it will simply die. When it recovers, it will do the same thing when you apply some gas. I really need to get this fixed by tomorrow, got things to do! I just got hold of a fuel pressure tester, will be checking it tomorrow. Any other suggestions?

ARCO sucks!

Well, I figured out my problem. I had water in my fuel! Put some Heep and some Gumout in my tank, started her up, and had to keep her going as she was trying to die on me. After about 15 minutes of doing this, She started acting good again.

I learned my lesson, never, ever, buy gas from ARCO!! Especially on an old truck like this one.

Well, hate to say it, but ARCO gets their gas from the same folks as Shell, Texaco, BP, etc....water in the gas from a station is not good, but not unusual (never buy gas within an hour after delivery, sediments including water in the bottom of the tank get stirred up), and is usually a problem with the station, rather than the brand. The other option is that sometime other than when you gassed up, water got in your tank somehow....

Must have been the station. But I have never trusted ARCO. I can get cheaper gas from 76 that's closer to the station I went to anyways.
