Hello all have not been on here in awhile.Getting back into fixing my ranger it has been converted to a 2.3T.My fuel pump hanger assy went bad and replaced it ever since then my fuel gauge does not work.Got a new one from advance auto today still does not work.If you ground the sending unit wire from pigtail it sends the gauge straight to full so that tells me the wiring and gauge works but I don't understand why it does not plugged in and moving float by hand.Any help would be great not sure what it is or that there would even be a difference from a 2.0 to a 2.3

What did you do add a gauge or just run without one?

i had the same problem with mine and after using a volt meter a haynes book and replacing the whole fule assembly i found out that the gauge cluster is faulty. reason being was unknown but it wasnt a hard fix at all.

Found the problem it was not the cluster. When I redone the wiring and added a electric in tank pump for the 2.3T.I did not give the fuel pump hanger/gas tank a ground.
