Took my truck wheelin last night in a sand pit with some mud holes. Did some crawling and hit the mud hole which was not deep once or twice.

On my way around the pit again going up a slight hill the truck felt like it was bogging hard. When you hit the gas past like 2000 rpm I believe (Tach is off and read 3000), the rpms would just drop back down to nothing. Kinda like a wet distributor. But the distributor was dry and after sitting there trying to screw with it, turning it off and on the response came back. So we wheeled around for a bit more and on our way out I lost 99% of my power. Anything over a 1/4" push on the pedal made the truck bog and slow down and the rpms would drop. I limped it home granny shifting to the max staying under like 1500 rpms.

The only thing I never did was replace the fuel filter on this truck. It has a brand new pump. When I turn the key you hear the pump turn on and off after building pressure. And at the shrader valve I had good pressure initially but after getting home it only shot up about 3in. When I got home I could hear the pump whinning loud though while it was sitting there idling. Sounds like it could be clogged or something in the line could be? It had a 1/4 tank of gas at the time.

I believe I might have knocked something loose in the fuel filter and maybe clogged it up. Or who knows I just hope it isnt a pump because I dont want to buy another one..:annoyed:

I would test your pressure with a gauge, especially with it running, and then in gear.

Yea, I forgot to add in neutral the truck will rev but in gear it just boggs

Check fuel pressure with gauges, just hitting the schrader and hoping it squirts high isn't very accurate. Also check for vacuum leaks. Can't hurt to run a compression check, either.
