Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if it is possible to replace the schrader valve on the fuel rail of the 4.0 OHV (1991). I do have a fuel pressure testing kit with tons of adapters, but none will fit on the schrader valve on the fuel rail. There are schrader valves included in the fuel pressure testing kit, so I was wonder if I could temporarily replace the schrader valve currently on the fuel rail with one of those.
I guess the procedure would be something like: 1) starve engine of gas (remove fuse)
2) remove old schrader valve & install replacement.
3) Start the engine, check for leaks and do the testing.
4) starve engine again
5) Reinstall old schrader valve
I'm just a little worried that it might be welded into place on the inside or something. Does anyone have any idea if this is possible to do?
