I have a 91 ranger 3.0, can anyone tell me where the fuel pump sshut off switch is? or a pic of it ? thanks!

The inertia switch, it's under the dash in the passenger side, you'll find it under the carpet if you pull it down.

is there a way to reset it?

Thanks i reset that, but still nothing, is there a relay for the fuel pump?

yea theres a relay in the main fuse block under the hood. what seems to be your problem??

truck was running fine, then everyonce in awhile it wouldn't start, now I cant get it to start at all, no gas ! I mean I have a half tank, but none pumping

Yeah get that relay, I spent a few hundred dollars on basic maintenance trying to figure out the same exact problem before I realized it was the relay. $11 from Ford.

Edit: When inertia switches die for good the reset button quits working.

The inertia switch seems fine, but where is the relay located at?

IIRC the relays for my 4.0 were under my fuse box, on the passenger side, under the hood. The fuse box should lift up and there will be like 4-5 relays under there.
Beef

But he's got a 3.0, unless you mean because it's an older truck.

On my 93 3.0 it's on the driver side, you'll see a big black box that opens right up. Don't be afraid to yank hard on the relay, at first I thought I was gonna break the damn thing, not knowing if it had clips or something, but it's just a plug.

There's probably another relay of equal rating--like the horn--that you can swap out to MAKE SURE it's your fuel pump relay. No sense paying for a relay you don't need.

PS: Don't think you have to go to a Ford Stealership for these relays, do you? Won't a $5 Bosch from Advance Auto work fine?

There is no Bosch relay and they cost $10 from AutoZone and $12 from Advance.

found the relay, but just my luck , you can't swap it out with either of the other 2, just have to buy one from autozone and cross my fingers !

ok replaced the relay and still not pumping gas, HHmmmmm?
