As the title says, I would like to swap mine out for a new one. No issues with current one. Just trying to be preemptive. Assuming that previous owner did very little before purchasing said Ranger.

Open to suggestions, tips and tricks. I’ve loosened the back 4 bolts in the bed. Haven’t checked the front 2 by the cab yet. TIA!

You replacing the whole sender or just the pump?

The pump can be a bit of a pita to remove from the sender.

Other then that, it’s a pretty easy job. Slide the bed back, unplug a couple hoses, and pull the sender.

Just replacing the whole unit. I’ve watched a few videos on the matter. I guess it just comes down to preference.

It's cheaper to buy just a pump, but it's a hassle. I wouldn't recommend unless you are going to replace the pump with high end pump.

If you are just buying a parts store pump, do the whole sender, save yourself the time.

Once you get the bed off it's real easy, no tricks to it.

Sender isn’t bad. The pump itself is a little bit of a pain but not impossible.

6 bed bolts, you can disconnect the taillight harness under the back bumper, one plug, and skip pulling the lights. Three little bolts for the fuel filler neck. I’d pop the tailgate off, unclip the cables and lift it off passenger side first. You can do the pump/sender by just shifting the bed back a bit and balance it on the back tires and rear bumper or take it off completely
