I have a 94 Ranger with a 4.0L. Got in it this morning to move it over in the driveway and when I turned the key it just turned over for about 5 secs and didnt start. So I tried it again and it fired right up. A few minutes later I came back to start it again and now it will not start at all. Just turns over and over. It has plenty of gas, but when I turn the key to on I can't hear the fuel pump run at all...can anybody tell me where to start with this one? Also the truck has run like a top every day for two years since I got it so im pretty surprised that its doing this.

I'm not sure how to check that, haven't ever done much with fuel systems

I believe I may have discovered the problem, I switched the fuel pump relay out for one of the others thats in the underhood fuse panel. As soon as there was a different relay in there the pump primed right away and the truck fired right up. But in the interests of making this thread worth something I wouldn't mind learning how to check for fuel at the fuel rail still
