I got no fuel pressure on my '86 (2.9 V6).
Dual tanks.
what happened: driving home from work, died out right as I turned. Got towed to a parking lot by a nice guy in a Jeep. After that it cranked up and then I left the lot, got out of the lot and it died again. Got it to start (keep cranking) and made it home. Died out on my at the end of my street. Pushed it home from there. Pushed on the release valve and nada.
So either its the pump(s) or what ever else could be wrong with this damn thing.
Im pretty sure its the pump because I can not hear it click on like I could before (right as I turn my key on all the way).
Any guess what pump it could be or a way to test one of them? Im hoping its the pumped mounted on the rail (only 50 bucks and its easy to change) and I think thats the pump thats shit.
Any help is greatly appreciated, hoping to have this fixed before work (cant afford to take the day off because I'll be lucky if I can pull the cost for a new in tank pump).
Thanks.
