FUEL PUMP 86 Ranger

I have a 1986 ford ranger 2.3l FI and when i turn the key to the on position i can not hear the fuel pumps prime. i used to hear it and now i dont. when i turn the key the engine turns over and i can hear a click from the fuel pumo relay i also had someone turn the key while i held the test port open on the fuel rail and no fuel squirted out. im not sure how to figure this out

Most likely you have a shot fuel pump. Need to replace it. Most likely the one in the tank.
