fuel problems

have an 89 ranger 4x4 2.9 v6 automatic,my problem is, seems to be air with th fuel at th rail,new regulator,new relay , new filter, put new hose above the pump in th tank.seems to be worst when its hot.stallls out wont start(like vapor locking)checked for reurn flow,return line okay...help...
 
check for a loose connection, in the supply lines, allowing air to enter.

Like Tim said it sounds like a loose connection somewhere. My 2.9 had the same symptoms as your having. I found a leak where the regulator seats in the fuel rail, I had to replace the o rings with thicker ones. Good Luck.
 
after everything else, i finally changed th pumo...jackpot!! she be running now.seems like more power than ever. after so long of th sputter sputter stall-sure feels good to punch it n go...thanks to those who replyed, and all th other threads i absorbed knowledge from...i'm goin drivin...out e.
