fuel problem

guy need some help with the bronco II. I cant fill the tank i can only put like 9 gallons in it the the pump disengages nd i cant put anymore fuel in. what might be the problem im thinking the sending unit and one know
 
Tanks not venting, find out if the vent hose is plugged or kinked over. rubber fuel neck may be partialy collapsed.

did you check the tank from the bottom end? maybe one of the straps rusted out and the tank shifted...that can partially occlude the tube...
 
Yes its the small vacuum line sized one above the fuel filler. I had to use a brass punch to enlarge the opening or it took FOREVER to fill my tanks (dual tank ranger) now works fine and can get that last gallon in.
