fuel problem

i wreaked my 3.0 and when the truck was still in the ditch it ran fine but as soon as i pulled it out it stopped. when you start it up it fires then dies a second later. the fuel pump sends fuel at a good pressure but then just dies. any ideas? i already tried the fuel shut off by the passanger kick panel.

well it flows great for about 2 seconds the the fuel pump just kickes off

What all is damaged on the truck from the wreck?

other than sheet metal? the frame is slightly tweaked and the back axle

So how does it reset? Just with key off then on again?

yea it fires but even if you pump the gas it still shuts off. you just have to turn it off the back on again.

i was able to mess around with it today and it will run if i prime it. but it wont start on its own

Sounds like a failing relay or overheating pump motor.

relays are good. the pump may be over heating because i took all the gas out so it isnt completly under fuel
