what is the ecc relay and what is it called? the parts store has no listing for a ecc.

a relay is like a switch for a high current circuit, in this case it's to prevent the computer power (among other things as well) from running directly through the ignition switch switch. it gets a 12v signal from the ignition switch and turns on the higher current circuit. Hanging on the passenger side inner fender under the hood; brown plug.

you either need to go to a different parts store, or talk someone else behind the counter that has a clue.
