So I had an incident where my truck left me stranded at the liquor store yesterday. I went in bought a monster and cranked the motor and it was cranking and cranking. it started for a second then it died and there was no starting it up again. I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and ran it at 2500rpm and the fuel pressure stayed at 29psi. is the spec 30-45 I was wondering if its the fuel pump thats going out.

Dunno the year & engine, but a lot have a fuel pressure regulator that is vacuum operated. If the regulator cooks, it can release the pressure, and you'll never get to 40+. Check the regulator by removing the vacuum line, plug it, with engine at idle. The pressure should increase if it is working. If it doesn't increase, I'd suspect the pump.
